Spark Center is the partner of Vietnam’s Business Challenge Fund (VBCF), funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID). Spark provides support for enterprises to improve their business proposals submitted to VBCF for approval. During 4 days (12-13/04 in Hanoi and 16-17/04 in Ho Chi Minh City), VBCF has held the training workshop “Writing detailed business plan” for 13 enterprises who have passed the first round. Read more

In the framework of cooperation with VBCF, Spark Center continues to seek for enterprises having inclusive projects with low-income people to prepare for the next round of proposal submit. Vietnam Business Challenge Fund (VBCF), funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID), was established to support enterprises in Vietnam to realize innovative and sustainable business models delivering both commercial benefits for the enterprises and developmental benefits for the community and low income people. International institutions such as BiD Network, ING, ICCO and United Succes have been jointly organizing business plan competitions “Women in Business Challenge – WiB” to empower women entrepreneurs to drive growth in emerging countries. Since 2009, WiB has provided support, coaching, visibility and finance to over 600 women heading businesses in emerging countries, 4 of whom have been awarded as laureates.   Read more

Throughout August 2, 3 and 4, Spark Center hosted its fourth Spark Ambassador Workshop in Thai Binh City. The goals of the Workshop were (i) to summarize the activities of Spark Ambassadors in different localities, (ii) to update information and unify awareness, skills and action that will expand the Spark Movement (iii) to develop a plan for identifying and developing social business activities, and (iv) to extend the Spark Ambassador network to more localities.
